Who is Take Two?
Founded in 2019, originally as Fibre Arts Take Two, Take Two is an Australian based online education platform collaborating with some of the world’s most respected fibre, mixed media, and ceramic artists.
We create beautifully produced online courses, free Friday Feature Artist interviews, and documentaries that connect a global community of artists through creativity, making, and shared learning.
At heart, we are just like you. A group of creative individuals who believe in the power of art, process, and community.
For more information, visit our About Us page.
-
Where is Take Two based?
Take Two is based in Australia, with a team spanning Australia, Canada, England, France, and the Philippines, supporting students globally.
Our courses are enjoyed by students in over 105 countries.
-
How do Take Two courses work?
We collaborate with leading fibre and mixed media artists to take you inside their studios and creative processes.
All Take Two courses are professionally filmed and produced, creating a high quality learning experience that is inspiring to watch, easy to follow, and designed to be revisited over time.
Courses are accessed through our online learning platform, allowing you to learn at your own pace, wherever you are in the world.
-
What do I get when I enrol?
All Take Two courses include:
- Lifetime access to streamed video content
- Professionally filmed lessons and demonstrations
- Comprehensive downloadable resource guides
- Access to a private online student community
Some courses also include live tutor interaction and exhibitions, as outlined below.
-
What is the difference between a Signature course and an On Demand course?
Take Two offers two learning experiences.
Signature courses
Signature courses are time based learning experiences released approximately once per year. They include:
- Lifetime access to the course content
- Up to eight weeks of tutor engagement
- A private Facebook student community
- Live Q and A sessions, which are recorded
- The opportunity to submit work for an online student exhibition
Signature courses are ideal if you enjoy learning alongside others and engaging directly with the tutor.
On-Demand courses
On-Demand courses are always open for enrolment and include:
- Lifetime access to course content
- A private online student community
- Curated FAQ videos from past students
- Comprehensive resource guides
On Demand courses are perfect if you prefer to learn independently and at your own pace.
-
What is a Masterclass?
A Masterclass is a theory based, high engagement learning experience designed to support artists in their professional and personal development.
Unlike technique focused courses, Masterclasses do not teach practical techniques. Instead, they explore topics such as artistic thinking, creative direction, identity, sustainability of practice, and navigating life as an artist.
Masterclasses typically include:
- A structured learning experience over 8 to 10 weeks
- A minimum of four live Q and A sessions with the tutor
- A private student community for discussion and reflection
- A strong emphasis on conversation, insight, and guided thinking
Some Masterclasses also offer the option to upgrade into small group mentoring for deeper, more personalised engagement.
Each Masterclass page clearly outlines what is included and any optional mentoring opportunities.
-
Will I be asked to copy the tutor’s work?
No.
Our tutors empower you to develop your own visual language, ideas, and way of working. You will never be asked to copy the tutor’s work.
Tutors share their thinking, processes, and techniques so you can apply what you learn in ways that feel authentic to you and your practice.
-
Are your courses for beginner or advanced artists?
Both.
Our courses are designed for artists at all stages, from beginners to those with an established or professional practice.
They are not paint by numbers. Instead, they focus on developing your own visual language, thinking, and processes.
Beginners often bring openness and curiosity. More experienced artists tend to value the depth, reflection, and opportunity to question habits or shift direction in their work.
As your practice evolves, you can return to the course content and continue to uncover new layers of learning.
-
Which course is right for me?
Each course page includes detailed information and videos outlining the tutor, curriculum, materials, and learning experience.
If you are unsure, we recommend registering your interest, watching a Friday Feature Artist interview with the tutor, exploring past student exhibitions, and reading the course FAQs.
You are also welcome to email support@taketwoart.com and our team will help you choose the best fit.
-
What materials do I need?
Every course is different.
A minimum materials list is provided on each individual course page in the FAQ section so you can decide what you already have and what you may wish to source.
-
How long are your courses?
Courses range from approximately five to fifteen hours of professisional video content, depending on the course.
Lessons are broken into modules and short videos so you can move at your own pace over weeks, months, or longer.
Signature courses include up to eight weeks of tutor engagement during the live course period.
-
Do you offer close captions in different languages?
Yes. All courses have close captions available to you in: English, French, Spanish, German and Italian.
We’re proud to welcome students from around the world, and we continue to review accessibility options as our platform evolves.
-
When do courses open for enrolment?
Signature courses typically open for enrolment once per year.
Each course page clearly shows whether enrolment is open, closed with the option to register your interest, or available as an On-Demand course.
To make sure you do not miss out, we recommend registering your interest on the course page.
On-Demand courses are always open and can be joined at any time.

-
What happens when I register my interest in a course?
When you register your interest, you are added to a course specific email list.
This allows you to:
- Be notified when enrolment opens
- Receive detailed information about the course and tutor
- Understand what is included and what to expect
- Decide if the course feels right for you
Registering your interest does not commit you to enrolling.
-
When do I get access to my course?
As soon as you enrol, you will receive instant access to the course content, unless stated otherwise.
You can start straight away or return when the time is right for you.
-
How long is tutor engagement in a Signature course?
Signature courses include up to eight weeks of tutor engagement, beginning shortly before enrolments close.
During this time, you will have access to a private student community, tutor guidance, and live Q and A sessions, which are recorded.
-
Do I need to use Facebook to take a course?
No. You can complete a Take Two course without using Facebook.
Facebook is used for community discussion and tutor interaction during the live period of Signature courses, but participation is optional.
All course content, lessons, and recorded Q&A sessions are accessed through the Take Two learning platform, not Facebook.
Many students choose to engage with the community, while others prefer to focus solely on the course content. Both approaches are completely supported.
-
How long do I have access to my course?
You have lifetime access to your Take Two course.
Many students return to their courses again and again as their practice evolves.
-
Can I download the course videos?
No. Course videos are viewed via secure online streaming and cannot be downloaded.
You can watch the videos as many times as you like and download PDFs and additional resources for offline use.
If you experience any playback issues, our support team is always happy to help.
-
How many hours do I need to commit to a course?
There is no minimum weekly time commitment.
Lessons are broken into short, manageable videos, and you have lifetime access. Many students choose to move through the course gradually, using it as a long term creative resource.
-
What if I miss the live tutor engagement period?
Even if you cannot participate during the live engagement window, you will still benefit from recorded Q&A sessions, tutor guidance shared in the community, and lifetime access to the full course content.
Many students return well after the live period and continue to find value.
-
Can I enrol after enrolments close?
No.
Once enrolments for a Signature course close, we are unable to accept late enrolments. This allows tutors to focus fully on supporting enrolled students.
-
Will the course be offered again?
Most Signature courses are offered at least once every twelve months.
After multiple years, some courses may transition to an On-Demand format.
-
Do you limit enrolment numbers?
Yes.
We limit enrolment numbers for Signature courses to ensure tutors can meaningfully engage with students and the community experience remains supportive and enjoyable.
-
How much do courses cost?
Prices vary depending on the course and format.
As a guide:
- Signature courses typically range between USD 348 and USD 550 when paid in full.
- On-Demand courses typically range between USD 198 and USD 450.
Payment plans are available at checkout.
-
Do you offer payment plans?
Yes.
Most courses offer two month or five month payment plans, which can be selected at checkout.
-
What currencies can I pay in?
We support payments in AUD, USD, GBP, EUR, NZD, and CAD.
If your local currency is not listed, your bank will automatically convert the amount at the time of purchase.
-
What payment methods do you accept?
Payments can be made via credit or debit card through our secure website.
If you require a PayPal invoice for a one off payment, please contact support@taketwoart.com.
-
Do you offer refunds?
To protect both your investment and the intellectual property of our tutors, we offer a seven day money back guarantee, provided less than ten percent of the course content has been viewed.
If you have any questions, please contact support@taketwoart.com and our team will be happy to help.
-
Do you offer scholarships?
At this time, we are unable to offer individual scholarships.
However, we provide a wide range of free Friday Feature Artist interviews, articles, and resources so learning remains accessible.
-
