IMMEDIATE AND LIFETIME ACCESS
LEARN AT YOUR OWN PACE
Where your ideas unfold through daily practice, layered exploration, and gentle guidance.
This felt more like a luxury art retreat than an online class. Cordula’s techniques were game changers for me. This was my favourite online course ever.

The inspiration you crave shouldn't feel elusive. Yet, it often slips away... if you're looking in the wrong places.
Have you ever stared at a collection of art materials, sensing the potential within, but unsure of the next step?
That’s the beauty - and the challenge - of collage: combining diverse elements to form a cohesive whole. It’s like solving a unique puzzle, where each piece brings its own story.
Connecting the dots with collage
Collage is an art of freedom - a process where experimentation meets expression. Yet for many, the journey begins with feeling overwhelmed. The what and how of arranging elements can feel daunting, echoing the uncertainty we sometimes experience in life.
Inspiration is often closer than you think
What if the key isn’t only in the materials in front of you, but also in the world around you? Walks in nature. Daily routines. Quiet moments taken just for yourself. Your life -in all its simplicity and complexity - is a rich source of inspiration, waiting to be channelled onto your canvas.
What if you could rediscover the joy of fitting the collage pieces together, drawing from everyday experiences while blending new processes with your own unique style - and creating a body of work you’ll feel confident sharing?
It’s easier than you realise
What many artists discover through Process & Possibilities is not just new ways of working - but a quieter, more trusting relationship with their process.
This is where Cordula Kagemann’s approach gently shifts things.
She invites you into a calm, exploratory way of working - one that values curiosity, attention, and intuitive decision-making over rules or outcomes.
Watch your ideas come together into a cohesive body of work that feels deeply personal.
Work with curiosity and play, using gentle prompts and small studies to loosen expectations and create momentum in your making.
Explore colour, texture, and layering as you work with paper, paint, collage, stitch, and surface treatments to build depth and visual interest.
Use accessible materials intuitively, learning how simple parameters and repetition can support clarity rather than limit creativity.
Build confidence through experimentation by working across multiple pieces, softening perfectionism and making decisions with greater ease.
Develop a clearer visual language as recurring marks, colours, and motifs begin to emerge through reflection and practice.
Learn to trust your process as ideas gradually come together into a cohesive body of work that feels personal, resolved, and your own.
Inside the course
Meet your tutor
Cordula Kagemann is a contemporary abstract collage artist based in Germany, whose work explores time, transience, and lived experience through layered surfaces and intuitive mark-making.
For more than fourteen years, Cordula has lived and worked in an old house in the German countryside, where the rhythms of nature and daily life deeply influence her practice. Working primarily in solitude, she allows images to unfold slowly, trusting process over outcome and letting each piece find its own direction.
Paper, in all its variations, sits at the heart of Cordula’s work, alongside paint, textiles, and found materials. Through layering, hand-cut shapes, and transparent collage papers, she builds textured surfaces that reflect cycles of remembering and forgetting, gathering and release-often echoed through her recurring use of the circle.
Alongside her studio practice, Cordula has taught her approach to collage to artists around the world. Process & Possibilities brings this experience together, offering insight not only into her techniques, but into the way she thinks, works, and makes decisions as an artist.
Below, Cordula introduces herself and shares more about her practice and approach.
I look forward to sharing my process and ways of working with you in Process & Possibilities. Let’s walk this path together for a little while.

What Cordula's students say:
I have been ‘playing’ with collage for decades, but this course gave me the confidence to treat my work as serious art. Cordula’s process helped me recognise how to build stronger, more meaningful pieces with structure and intention. I return to the lessons again and again.
Cordula’s course has been life changing for me. I have totally changed my style and learned how to add depth, interest and emotion into my work. A magnificent course.
This is the best course I have ever taken. Cordula is a calm and inspiring teacher who explains everything clearly and generously. The filming captures every detail and even mistakes become learning opportunities. The course is packed with techniques, demonstrations and insight - I genuinely feel I paid far too little for the depth of knowledge shared.
Cordula’s quiet, gentle and clear way of teaching allowed me to truly understand composition and layering. The slow pace of the process changed the way I work, and having lifetime access means I can revisit the videos whenever I need to.
The course opened my eyes to a whole new world of collage processes. Cordula’s understated, thoughtful instruction made everything accessible and deeply enjoyable. It is absolutely worth every dollar and something I will return to many times.
Cordula taught me how to make deeply personal and meaningful art. Her techniques showed me how to embed symbolism and memory into my work in subtle ways. This course helped me find a new visual language that truly feels like my own.
This course gave me the confidence to work without a plan - to cut, stick and see what emerges. I’m fascinated by the layering process and the depth it creates. It is absolutely worth every penny.
Cordula’s calm and clear teaching style, combined with beautiful professional filming, makes this course a joy to watch. The demonstrations on layering and composition gave me new insight into creating depth and visual interest in my work.
Stepping into collage through this course brought me a newfound creative freedom. Trusting the process became almost addictive, and every piece felt deeply satisfying. I discovered a more intuitive and expressive way of working.
Cordula gave me the courage to step out of my comfort zone and try new techniques. Every module offered something valuable, and having permanent access means I can continue learning and growing at my own pace.
Course modules
-
Module 1 - Staying Connected to Your Art
Immerse yourself in the history of collage and allow Cordula to share her insights into finding your flow through the process. Here, Cordula shares her daily rituals and creativity tools for staying connected to your art practice, inviting you to do the same.
-
Module 2 - The Layering Process
Layering is essential to Cordula’s process. She delves into the practicalities of working with different papers and where to source the best assortment for collage. You’ll discover the power of limits and work through some critical elements Cordula uses within her abstract collage, incorporating words and image transfers.
-
Module 3 – Transparent Collage Papers
Shift your focus from outcomes to daily practice. By creating your own transparent and patterned papers using gelli printing and simple processes, you’ll build a personal visual vocabulary and remove the pressure to “make something finished” every time you enter the studio.
-
Module 4 - Composition and Meaning
Learn how to notice differently. Cordula guides you in extracting essence rather than detail, using cutting, reduction, and negative space to transform everyday observations, photographs, or found objects into abstract forms that feel personal and intentional.
-
Module 5 – Layered Collage – Project 1
Working on a round canvas, you’ll bring your layers together and begin to see how patience and restraint create depth and connection. This module often marks a turning point, where uncertainty gives way to trust and a clearer sense of direction.
-
Module 6 – Textiles in Collage
Introduce textiles and stitch as quiet structural elements rather than decoration. You’re invited to let go of expectations and explore fabric, thread, and paint as subtle layers that add texture, memory, and tactility to your work.
-
Module 7 – Low Relief Collage – Project 2
Explore depth in a more physical way. Through wrapping, embedding, and low-relief techniques, you’ll continue developing composition and rhythm while working across multiple pieces - helping to soften perfectionism and build confidence.

Module 8 – Completing Low Relief Collages
Focus on resolution rather than rushing to finish. Working on a small series, you’ll learn how subtle adjustments bring cohesion and how to recognise when a piece feels complete, resolved, and ready to rest.
