Discover Kerri’s unique approach to tactile fibre art.

Inside the course

In Threads of Connection, Kerri welcomes you into her country Victoria studio to learn weaving, latch hook, and the upholstery techniques that sit at the heart of her practice.

Across six modules you'll build real pieces – a woven wall hanging, a fibre art cushion, an upholstered surface structure, and a wild sculptural form shaped by wire and whatever your hands reach for. The course moves from solid technique through to pure intuition, teaching you to let the materials lead rather than overthink the outcome.

By the end, you'll look at a fabric scrap, a salvaged frame, or a piece of bark on the ground and see exactly what it could become.

Get to know Kerri

From her studio nestled among the gum trees on Taungurung Country in Taggerty, Victoria, artist Kerri Hollingsworth transforms natural fibres and recycled textiles into sculptural pieces designed to be touched, felt, and experienced. Her work is a tactile narrative inspired by nature, motherhood, and the quiet beauty of everyday life on the farm.

A conscious and intuitive creator, Kerri’s practice reflects her deep respect for the environment and her commitment to pushing creative boundaries.

In Australia alone, around 30 million plastic toothbrushes end up in landfill each year - a staggering reminder of the impact of everyday items on our planet. Learning this sparked a profound shift in Kerri’s life and art. She began reimagining waste, weaving discarded textiles and materials into striking works she calls upholstery art.
