Joyful Embroidery - Student Exhibition 2025
As we approach creativity it is not just the physical act we seek but often the ability to express ourselves, tell stories and share our souls in a visual form. This exhibition celebrates our ability to not only make art but to share a deeper insight into our creativity through titles and short descriptions that allow you, the viewer, into our reflections on the theme Seasons. As creatives, the seasons of life and nature inspire, challenge and delight us. Within this diverse collection of works we are proud to celebrate the participants of Joyful Embroidery as artists in their own right.
Seasons.
Exploring stitched painting and mixed media embroidered artworks along this theme the creatives have dedicated significant time to their pieces and on the journey of creating them have found new and exciting ways to share their unique perspectives and mark making. It is deeply meaningful that each creative took the time to invest in their creative practice whether on a hobby or professional basis and it is exciting to be able to share this work to not only celebrate the individuals and their work but to inspire others to see the potential of modern Fibre Art and what is possible when you explore creativity with a focus on joy in the process.
Working with thread and textiles and then sharing our work connects us to ourselves, this global creativity community and to our ancient heritage. There is a knowing in these seasons of stitch that was with us all along, new lessons and growth as we created together and now a celebration of all of these things culminating in the exhibition, Seasons.
We hope you enjoy viewing and sharing it as much as we loved creating it.
