In the Rhythm of Becoming

An exhibition journey where landscape and language meet, where lived experience and a site’s rhythm find a place to greet. Through layers of attention, each artist discovers a soulful trace, unfolding the beauty of "becoming" within every textured space.

In the Rhythm of Becoming

Student exhibition: Poetry & Place with Eva Kalien

"It doesn't start with an idea. It starts with a whisper. With a sheet of paper that wants nothing. With a hand that feels its way. With a first cut, a first layer, a quiet yes.

The rhythm of creation opens the door to trusting your own pace. Not to be faster than your inner impulse. Not louder than the quiet voice that knows when something is enough. In collage, we encounter the fragment – the unfinished, the cut-off, the seemingly random.

Layer by layer, we add and remove. We cover, we let shine through, we risk the unplanned. And somewhere between the edges of the paper and the spaces in between, something happens: an image begins to breathe. A trace of truth becomes visible because space is opened up for it.

This course is a path of practice. A path of repetition. Of letting go of expectations. Of trusting that something good wants to emerge. It reminds us to discover silence as an ally. Intuition as a compass. Not to make the inner critic a judge, but a silent observer. It is not perfection, it is authenticity that can breathe. For one's own voice. For the courage to hear it. And for the confidence that it is enough."
